Gunners: We’re ready for battle
EDINBURGH chief Richard Cockerill reckons his men are facing “one hell of a challenge” to claim a Pro14 play-off slot.
The born-again Gunners meet Euro giants Munster at Murrayfield tonight and the Gunners’ gaffer admitted his troops will go into battle as massive underdogs.
The coach said: “Munster are a very good team and they really should come here and win. But we will see about that as we may have other thoughts.
“We are very well prepared and motivated for what we know will be an extremely tough match against a top-quality team.
“Munster have a strong all-round squad, however, our lads have been building up their confidence.
“The performance and result should tell us exactly where we’re at.
“We know we’ve got a hell of a run-in until the end of the season to try to make something out of the year.
“We want to be in the play-offs and we have given ourselves a really good opportunity to be in the mix.”
The Gunners are boosted by the return from Scotland duties of lock Ben Toolis, prop Simon Berghan and centre Mark Bennett.”
