treatment. We’ll no doubt still be worrying about her for the rest of our lives and checking her temperature when she’s 30.”

To celebrate Mya’s success, David will take to his motorbike tomorrow for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity’s annual Easter Egg Run dressed as Mya’s favourite superhero, the Hulk, after watching last year’s event from the hospital window.

He will be joined by his dad Brian, who supported the family through their ordeal.

David said: “Everywhere she goes now she wants to be dressed as a Disney princess like Elsa or her favourite just now, which is Ariel from The Little Mermaid.

“If there’s a kid crying, she will go and cuddle them and say hello. She’s such a good wee girl and really makes people laugh.

“There are some kids who started treatment the same time as Mya who we became close to who lost their battle, so to get to this stage is amazing.

“There are no words to describe what we owe to the Schiehallion ward and staff.

“It’s such a dark world caring for a sick child and it’s not until you’re in that situation that you realise how special they are. They’re one in a million.”

Hundreds of bikers will take part in the Easter Egg Run in Glasgow – many in fancy dress – to show their support for the charity.

The parade leaves Glasgow Green at 11am tomorrow.

No registration is required and bikers can turn up on the day and make a suggested donation of £10 to take part. DARTS heroes Phil “The Power” Taylor and Gary Anderson have helped raise £70,000 to send a young fan for lifechanging medical treatment in the US.

Phil, the 16-time world champion, paid £20,000 into the fund to enable cerebral palsy sufferer Jackson Waddell to fly to Missouri.

Two-time world champ Gary Anderson also made a generous donation that will allow the six-year-old to receive treatment not available in the UK at St Louis Children’s Hospital.

Jackson, from Irvine, completed a half marathon with the help of a walking frame and hopes the treatment will enable him to walk unaided.

Fundraiser Wullie Burns, who runs Wulbur Darts Promotions, said: “When Phil met Jackson, he fell in love with the lad and gave us a cheque for £20,000.”
