GRAEME RODGER is determined to wipe out the misery of last year’s Highland League Cup heartache with victory against Fraserburgh today.
Formartine’s defeat to Cove Rangers in the north showpiece final still rankles with Rodger as he feels the Pitmedden men didn’t turn up on the day.
But 12 months on the experienced midfielder senses a resolve within Paul Lawson’s side to put it right against the Broch.
Rodger said: “It’s two different games so it’s hard to draw comparisons but it can’t do us any harm that we were there last season.
“And it shows us what can happen if we don’t perform to our best.
“The club have never won this trophy before so it would be a big achievement.
“But we’re under no illusions it will be a very tough game. Fraserburgh have been very consistent this season. We’ve beaten them twice this season but it’s always a tough game.” FIXTURES
