RANGERS have been handed a triple injury boost with Ross McCrorie, Graham Dorrans and Jordan Rossiter all in the squad for today’s trip to Fir Park.
But skipper Lee Wallace’s return is on hold after he suffered a reaction to his groin operation and missed the last two days’ training.
Dorrans picked up an ankle injury in the 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock in October that turned out to be Pedro Caixinha’s final match in charge.
McCrorie injured his foot during the mid-season trip to Florida and the last of Rossiter’s four appearances this season was in August.
David Bates is also making good progress from the ankle injury he suffered in the recent Old Firm defeat.
And boss Graeme Murty said: “We’re comfortable Lee will start to accelerate again next week. The timing is just unfortunate for him.
“Other than that we have people coming back to fitness at good times. David’s made great progress as well given the mechanism and severity of his ankle knock.
“We want to give Jordan a sniff of the first team but he still has challenges to overcome in terms of fitness.
“He won’t be involved in this game. He’s part of the squad because he’s come a long way. He needs to be in with us and consider himself a first-team player again.”
