CALLUM McGREGOR insists Celtic’s fit-again stars are ready to put the foot down to cross the Premiership finishing line.

The Parkhead playmaker hailed the return of injured heroes Stuart Armstrong, Patrick Roberts, Tom Rogic and Leigh Griffiths as the Hoops moved to within three wins of claiming seven in a row after Saturday’s 3-0 win against Ross County.

Brendan Rodgers’s side have lost several stars at stages this season but the big guns are back firing going in to the business end of the season.

McGregor insisted Celts can see the silverware in their sights and warned rivals they are ready to blast their way on to the Treble trail.

He said: “When you look at that last period of the campaign, especially last season, we really had our foot to the floor. We won the games and got the title wrapped up.

“That’s what our aim will be over the next week or so to try to really get the title won.

“The strength in depth of the squad is excellent. That was a great strength for us last season, we had everybody fit pretty much every week.

“There was competition for places, boys were coming into the team and doing really well. It was great to have Stu back again. He looked powerful, he looked well and he got his goal as well.

“It was good to get Griff back on the pitch, Paddy as well.

“We had a few injuries, especially over that Christmas period. We have been missing a few players but we are still winning games and doing well.

“It’s credit to the boys and the squad we’ve got. Hopefully we kick on.”
