FROM BACK PAGE Blues are hoping to move clear of the Premiership drop zone.

Having manager McCann in the stands for the run-in would be a blow to Dundee’s survival bid.

His men travel to Motherwell the following week before locking horns with Hamilton, Ross County and Partick Thistle.

The Dark Blues sit four points ahead of County and five clear of basement side Thistle.

McCann has denied striking Clark’s face in the aftermath of last month’s defeat by Saints and he’s now hoping to be cleared by the SFA for Saturday’s showdown. m.gannon@dailyrecord.co.uk with another torturous 90 minutes at the weekend and Morelos ended up falling out with his team-mates at the end but it was Gordon who left him hoping the ground would open up in the Celtic penalty area.

The keeper reckons he might have a hoodoo over the hitman and said: “Yeah – I’d imagine he does hate the sight of me but it’s nice when you get an upperhand on a striker.

“It doesn’t always happen and I’m sure he will get more chances. I’ll try my best to keep them out even if the law of averages says he will get one eventually. It was pleasing for me and helped the team which is the most important thing.”

It was all the more impressive given it took around 40 minutes for Gordon to even touch the ball with his gloves. The 35-year-old has been defined by producing sensational reaction saves and he rated the Hampden effort one of his best.

Gordon said: “It was quite sharp – one of the best parts of my game is the reflex save and I’ve had quite a few this season.

“That was another to add to the list and it’s always good when you do it against your biggest rivals in a semi-final.

“I’ve had a few similar ones. One at that end in the League Cup Final against Motherwell. It’s been a good end of the ground for me and hopefully I can produce a few more. If we play the way we do maybe I’ll not have to make many more.”

Gordon was there when he was needed and admitted he’s being kept on his toes since the arrival of Bain. The Dundee loanee did the business while the No.1 was out injured but he insisted there’s no way he can relax in the fight to be top man between the sticks.

Gordon said: “Scott has done very well in the four or five games he’s played. I’ve always admired him in games I’ve played against him and he’s a talented keeper. If he signs then
