Rosberg: Don’t let Lew slump fool you

UPDATE

-

NICO ROSBERG has warned Lewis Hamilton’s Formula One rivals to beware the threat from the wounded four-time world champion.

The Mercedes ace has struggled in the new campaign and could only manage a fourth place finish at last week’s Chinese Grand Prix.

But old team-mate Rosberg expects a stunning fightback and said: “Lewis always comes back – and when he does he comes back so damn strong that he’s almost unbeatable.”

Hamilton has not won since last October’s US Grand Prix but can rectify that in the next race in Azerbaijan on April 29. CYCLING: Mark Cavendish will make his cycling return at the Tour de Yorkshire next month.

The 32-year-old has not raced since breaking a rib after crashing in the final stages of Milan-San Remo last month.

Cav is now set to race in Yorkshire from May 3-6 as he steps up his preparations for this year’s Tour de France.

He said: “I’m delighted to have recovered sufficiently from my injuries to be back racing sooner than I initially thought.

“What better way to do that than at what could be described as a home race for me.” SHOOTING: India’s shooting federation chief Raninder Singh has urged his country to boycott theBirminghamCommonwealth Games after the sport was dumped from the 2022 schedule.

He said: “It’s unfair a major Olympic discipline is being treated in such a shabby manner. I’d request the Indian government boycott the Games.”
