Rachel Weisz reveals she and James Bond star hubby Daniel Craig are expecting first child
RaCHEL Weisz has announced she is having a “little human” with her 007 husband Daniel Craig.
The actress, 48, said they’re thrilled to be expecting their first child together.
She added: “I’ll be showing soon. Daniel and I are so happy. We’re going to have a little human.
“We can’t wait to meet him or her. It’s all such a mystery.” Rachel said: “I’m very happy being married – very, very happy.” She has an 11-year-old son, Henry, with director Darren Aronofsky, her partner from 2001 to 2010. Daniel, 50, has 25-year-old daughter Ella from his 1992-94 marriage to Fiona Loudon.
He and Rachel wed in New York City in June 2011 after they started dating in December 2010.
The couple have made a conscious effort to keep their relationship “private”.
But Rachel said she’d never had an ambition to get married before she met Daniel. “It’s very personal, very private,” she said. “I don’t think mine’s exceptional apart from we’re both in the public eye. “But I never thought I’d get married. It was not an ambition of mine. It was the opposite.”
Rachel, who was engaged to Darren at one stage, said she didn’t even believe in the concept of romance before Daniel came into her life.
“I couldn’t relate to romantic comedies,” she said. “Marriage seems to be the point of them.
“Then it just happened, happily, at a more mature moment.”
