Energy price to rise for 1m consumers
ENERGY giants Scottish Power were slammed last night for hiking up standard gas and electricity prices for about a third of their customers.
It will affect 950,000 households, who face a 5.5 per cent average increase.
Citizens Advice Scotland’s Kate Morrison said: “Energy companies need to put consumer interests at the heart of their business.
“If they fail to do this, governments and regulators need to be ready to act.”
