Wood’s squad ready to Rock

GLASGOW ROCKS coach Darryl Wood admits he faces a tough task picking a side when his side face Newcastle Eagles tomorrow.

Apart from the injured Kofi Josephs, the fourth-placed Rocks are back to full strength for the first time in a month with his Scotland contingent returning after the Commonwealth Games.

That’s going to mean fewer minutes for the players who held the fort when they were away and it will mean nursing a few bruised egos.

Wood said: “There’s no doubt it’s a challenge. The plus side it’s only for a short period that we need to keep everyone happy.

“If you had this quality of squad over a whole season, that would be much harder.”
