Rose: Boss Robbo rewarded cup heroes with tough double session

-

BY MICHAEL GANNON to be ranting or raving at us. It’s been a tough week, like every week is, and we’ll be fully prepared and ready to go on against Ross County.”

It was back to work on Tuesday but Rose admitted Well savoured their Dons demolition and are determined to keep up the momentum before they have another crack at Celtic in the Hampden showpiece. He said: “A lot of the boys had family in town for the occasion but a few of us got together and watched the other semi-final on Sunday which was great fun.

“There are lots of highs and lows in football so you have to enjoy the highs as much as possible without getting carried away.

“We got to talk about what it means to face Celtic one more time this season and how exciting that prospect is, then it was back into training to focus on the weekend.

“We’ve been a bit unfortunate against them on a couple of occasions.

“We’ll be looking forward to it when that day comes but right now we have got some really big league games ahead.”

Rose is looking for a strong finish to the campaign – and also targeting a new deal at Fir Park.

The midfielder watched Cedric Kipre, Ryan Bowman, Charles Dunne and Richard Tait all pen extensions on the eve of the semifinal and the Australian would love to follow suit.

Rose said: “That was fully deserved, all four of those guys have been fantastic and done an awful lot for the football club.

“We’re a really close-knit group of players so we’re all really happy and excited for those guys.

“Certainly, we’ve had some discussions and hopefully those will go on. I need to continue to play at a high level and play every week, that’s my focus at the moment. I’m sure all of that stuff will take care of itself.”
