Tierney is hoping to do it in style and said: “I can’t remember that one, I was only two! My dad and older friends remember it.

“It’s a massive game – everybody knows that and we look forward to it.

“If we get the win we need in one of these last four games it’s seven in arow as well.

“It’s doesn’t matter so much how we do it, just that we do.

“We want to do it as soon as possible and do it the Celtic way.

“In seasons down the line it’s not who you win the league against that goes in the history books it’s the fact you won it.”

Nah, no one is buying that one either Keiran.

The youngster admits he expects Rangers to be a wounded animal out for revenge on Sunday following the Scottish Cup mauling.

Tierney said: “They know they have to. We played well that day. We pressed well, kept the ball and were clinical.

“When we had chances we took them but all games are different and they’re always tough, especially at Celtic Park.

“They’ve had two draws there and we know all about that. It’s about winning the game first and foremost.

“It’s about doing it the way we want, playing our style and pressing high and keeping the ball as always. We just want to get over the line.”

Celtic are getting ready to pop the corks but it hasn’t been champagne football every week this season.

Tierney insisted there was no way they could repeat last year’s Invincible­s heroics but it would still be an ridiculous achievemen­t to pull off back-toback trebles.
