Strictly two to tango again
Love-split dancers Karen and Kevin will both be in new series
STRICTLY bosses will invite both Kevin Clifton and his estranged wife Karen on to this year’s show, it has been revealed.
The couple fell victim to the “Strictly curse” when their marriage went into meltdown during last year’s series.
But insiders say bosses are hoping they will patch things up this year.
A source said: “They’ll both be back.
“If they got back together during the months the show was on, it could be a reverse curse.
“We’re all suckers for a bit of romance and these two are hugely popular members of the Strictly family.
“Fans don’t want to see either of them leave. Just imagine if they rekindled their love on the show – how fabulous would that be?”
The pair announced their split in March, but Venezuelan Karen, 36, has said she hopes for a reconciliation with Kevin, 35, who is from Grimsby.
Karen, who still wears her ring and lives with Kevin in their home in south London, said: “I haven’t given up on it.
“I think the best thing for now is to behave like adults and take a break.
“You never know what will happen – maybe even in a couple of years.”
Their 37-venue tour with the Kevin and Karen Dance show starts later this month.
They married in 2015 but Karen was said to have accused her husband’s 2016 Strictly partner, Louise Redknapp, of “ruining our marriage”.
In December, Karen was rumoured to be having a fling with 27-year-old accountant Stuart Wood.
A BBC spokeswoman said last night: “The professional dancer line-up for 2018 will be revealed in due course.”
