Nanny murder trial: Accused admits attacks

A FASHION designer broke down in court as she admitted attacking her French nanny – but insisted “it doesn’t make me a murderer”.

Sabrina Kouider, 35, and her partner Ouissem Medouni, 40, are accused of torturing and killing Sophie Lionnet then dumping her body on a bonfire last September.

The couple had allegedly become obsessed the 21-year-old was conspiring to drug and molest the family with Kouider’s ex-boyfriend Mark Walton, founder of Boyzone, the Old Bailey has heard.

Kouider wept as she was challenged on how often she’d attacked Sophie at her London home. She said: “I’m not proud of myself.”

Kouider and Medouni admit perverting the course of justice but deny murder. The trial continues. BIG VOICE Emma hails 2018 winner Ruti FIRST came Pop Idol in 2001, followed by Popstars then The X Factor in 2004.

With Simon Cowell’s baby grabbing 10million viewers for ITV every Saturday, the BBC wanted a piece of the action.

So they splashed out £22million for a format developed in Holland and, in March 2012, put it up against Cowell’s other hit show Britain’s Got Talent.

ITV then bought the format but there’s no question which show has made the most stars... like 1D, Little Mix, JLS, Leona Lewis and Olly Murs to name a few. Matt Terry with Nicole in 2016 CLUED-UP Jonny Lee and Lucy Liu HOT on the heels of the BBC’s hit series which started in 2010 and stars Benedict Cumberbatc­h and Martin Freeman, America had a go at a show based on Conan Doyle’s detective on CBS in 2012.

The US effort is also set in the present day with a quirky lead but opposite Jonny Lee Miller’s Holmes is a female Watson played by Charlie’s Angels’ Lucy Liu – and the formula has proved hugely popular with viewers.

While Sherlock is rationed on the BBC, Elementary is in its sixth series and is shown on Sky Living in the UK.

The Waltons, about a family in rural Virginia during the Great Depression and World War II, first aired on CBS in 1972.

Two years later, NBC launched G’NIGHT JOHN-BOY Waltons Little House on the Prairie, about a family on a farm in Walnut Grove, Minnesota, in the 1870s and 1880s – an adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House books.
