McCanns: We still have hope after 11 years

Kate and Gerry McCann thanked those who had supported them.
They added: “Such warmth and solidarity is truly remarkable. We couldn’t bear for Madeleine to be forgotten.”

An investigation into sweetened milk drinks found the Oreo shake contains 87.6g of sugar, almost three times the recommended amount for children a day.
It has more than twice as much saturated fat as a Big Mac and, with 804 calories, more than half of the daily intake for a seven year old.
Burger King’s Oreo shake has 19 teaspoons of sugar.
Government Jamie Oliver guidelines say seven to 10-year-olds should have no more than 24g or six teaspoons a day of sugar – 30g for adults. The probe comes after chef Jamie Oliver called for the sugar tax to be extended to sweetened milk drinks. Campaigners slammed the “treats” for adding to growing issues with tooth decay, diabetes and obesity. Kawther Hashem, of Action on Sugar, said: “These findings are a stark reminder we urgently need a revised and robust childhood obesity strategy.” A Pizza Hut spokesman said: “Nutritional information for all our menu items is clearly available on our website.”
