Brazen thieves steal all the artificial grass from Sue’s back garden
A MUM of two has told how she woke up to find thieves had stolen her garden.
Sue Scorer, 30, from Livingston, had all of her artificial grass taken as she slept on Saturday night.
Brazen thieves even moved an 8ft trampoline to get it.
She said she and her two boys, Aaron, eight and Charlie, four, have been left devastated by the theft.
Sue said: “I woke on Sunday morning and was washing my hands when I looked out my window and saw the trampoline on the other side of the garden.
“I opened the window to see what was going on and saw all the grass was gone.
“I thought I was dreaming. I couldn’t believe it.”
Sue, a Slimming World consultant, has lived in the house for six years and had the turf put down in her front and back garden almost four years ago – at a cost of £3000 – so her sons could play football without getting dirty.
Sue added: “The kids are upset. My eight-year-old is always outside playing football.”
She added that a neighbour was also robbed of artificial grass on the same night.
The mum said: “My neighbour caught it all on CCTV.”
Now a kindhearted landscaper has offered to replace Sue’s grass and fix her fence for free after seeing her Facebook post.
Police have said they are investigating the incident.
