THE British wife of disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has said the effect the sex scandal will have on their two children makes her weep.

Breaking her silence on the revelations about her husband’s predatory behaviour, Georgina Chapman, 42, added that she had been “naive”.

And she said: “I have moments of rage, confusion, disbelief.”

More than 80 women have accused Weinstein of sexual harassment, assault or rape.

The 66-year-old Hollywood producer has a five-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter with Georgina.

The mum of two, who is filing for divorce, said: “I have moments when I just cry for my children. What are their lives going to be? What are people going to say to them?

“They love their dad… I just can’t bear it for them.”

Fashion designer Georgina left the marital home in New York and returned to London after the scandal broke in October last year.

The allegations span from the 70s until at least 2015.

Georgina, who married Weinstein in 2007, revealed she lost 10lb in five days after first learning of the claims.

She said: “I couldn’t keep food down. My head was spinning.

“I knew I needed to step away and take the kids out of here.”

When asked by Vogue if she was ever suspicious about Weinstein’s behaviour, she replied: “Never.” She added that she thought they had a happy marriage.

Georgina, who co-founded fashion brand Marchesa, said: “It’s still very raw.”

Weinstein is at the centre of police investigations in London, New York and Los Angeles. The American has denied the allegations.
