SAY HALO TO ANGELS

-

ANGELS (3.00) can wing it for thriving handler Tim Easterby on another competitive card at Carlisle.

The Dark Angel filly has done little wrong during her brief career and improved again when bolting up from Breaking Records at Pontefract.

The three-year-old should be even better on today’s faster surface and can take advantage of a very attractive mark on her handicap bow. ONLY SPOOFING (2.0) has BY GARRY OWEN

been a real credit to shrewd trainer Jedd O’Keeffe and can complete a four-timer in the Thursby Handicap.

ME BEFORE YOU (2.30) can maintain her excellent run of form in the Longtown Handicap. A typical David O’Meara improver, the filly was a good second in a stronger event at Musselburgh last week and can go one better off an unchanged mark.

DAVY’S DILEMMA (3.30) is the call in a trappy staying event for Michael Dods. Upwardly mobile last year, the gelding caught the eye when third on his return at Doncaster and should resume winning ways today.

Some fair bets at Brighton headed by CRYSTAL DEAUVILLE (2.10) in the opening six-furlong contest. Gay Kelleway’s sprinter has a decent record at this quirky venue and remains fairly-treated after his third to Maygold at Goodwood.

THE LACEMAKER (3.10) rates a confident selection in the Whitley Neill Gin Handicap.

Chris Dwyer’s gelding did it nicely from the front at Lingfield and can make all the running once again under top jockey Sylvestre De Sousa.

On-song NUTINI (5:10) should claim the lucky last for in-form Malcolm Saunders. The five-year-old recorded a personal best when edging out Balgair over course and distance and can shrug off a 3lb higher mark.

DANCE ON THE DAY (4.20) can shake off a welter burden for Tom Dascombe at Wolverhampton.

A good winner here in April, the filly took another step forward when second to Improve at Haydock and can do even better sent handicapping.

CARIBBEAN SPRING (5.20) looks hot stuff in the apprentices event. George Margarson’s fiveyear-old scored with plenty in hand over course and distance last month and can follow up off just a 3lb higher mark.
