Copter sent to help A9 crash victims

AN air ambulance was scrambled to a crash on the A9 involving two cars and a lorry yesterday.

Two people were injured in the smash before 1pm at Balhaldie, Perthshire.

The A9 was closed southbound for hours, causing major tailbacks.

One person was flown to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
