Probe as ‘headless’ body found in park
A MAN’S body reported to have been decapitated was found next to a kids’ play area in a park.
Police last night refused to confirm or deny local reports the corpse found in Hogarth Park, Cranhill, Glasgow, was headless.
The park in the city’s east end was cordoned off by police after the grisly find on Monday at 5.30pm.
A local woman said she had heard that a young boy had found the body. She added: “He wasn’t sure at first if it was a body or a shop mannequin.”
By yesterday afternoon, Police were still unsure if the body was male or female.
A spokeswoman said the death was being treated as unexplained, with a postmortem to be carried out.
