Fashion tips to help you make the most of days in the summer sun

YAY! It’s holiday time. Oh no! The summer diet hasn’t even started yet.

It’s the same story every year for me. I love beachwear but my days of strutting around in a bikini are long behind me.

Kaftans, sarongs, cover-ups, whatever you want to call them, are my best holiday friends. Years ago, I’d spend months dieting and working out to get in shape for summer. Now, being the perfect size eight or 10 doesn’t bother me.

Instead of focusing on the body bits you hate, show off your best bits in floaty kaftans and sarongs.

If you’ve got a fab cleavage, a plunging kaftan is the best way to showcase it and keep the rest under wraps. Tesco have a gorgeous palm print one in store.

If your legs are your best asset, pick a short beach dress or kaftan to make sure they’re not hidden.

And if you want to hide your tummy, a simple sarong knotted at your waist will work wonders.

If bingo wings are your bugbear, opt for this season’s fashionable cold-shoulder designs, with sleev that leave your shoulders bare bu drape nicely over your arms.

Add comfy wedges to give a couple of inches to your legs and ta-da! – you’re a beach glamazon.
