Spurs lead Jack chase as Villa star eyes move

-

JACK GREALISH is ready to quit Aston Villa this summer to return to Premier League.

Tottenham lead the race for the atacking midfielder although chairman Daniel Levy is yet to open the bidding as he bides his time to exploit Villa’s cash woes.

Premier League rivals including West Ham are believed to be monitoring Grealish’s situation but Liverpool are not expected to bid for the 22-year-old.

Manchester City are weighing up a swoop for Rafael Leao if he quits Sporting Lisbon.

Manager Jorge Jesus and six Sporting stars have already ripped up their deals due to safety fears after fans attacked the training ground and striker Leao could now follow suit.

Morton have signed ex-Celtic and Birmingham striker Denny Johnstone on a one-year deal.

Ton boss Ray McKinnon said: “He is a player I have always admired and one who will make a massive impact for us this season.”

Ex-Aberdeen full-back Daniel Harvie has joined Ayr on a two-year deal.

Boss Ian McCall said: “He was offered another contract at Pittodrie but turned it down as he wanted first-team football and that showed real guts.”

Dumbarton have sealed deals for defender Ross Perry and full-back Cammy Ballantyne.

East Fife have signed keeper Craig McDowall.
