CELTIC could be set to hand superkid Moses Odubajo a chance to revive his career.

The 24-year-old has joined the club’s pre-season trip to Austria to have talks with Brendan Rodgers about a potential move. Odubajo is set to become a

FROM BACK PAGE free agent with his deal at Hull due to expire at the end of this month.

And the England Under-20 ace could land a big chance with the Scottish champions after talks with Rodgers.

Odubajo, who can operate as a right-back or on the right of midfield, was rated as a massive talent south of the border after making a major breakthrough at Brentford.

Hull paid out £3.5million to land him three years ago but, after an impressive first term with the Tigers that saw him scouted by clubs such as Newcastle, disaster struck.

Odubajo was laid low by a serious knee injury that has kept him sidelined ever since.

The youngster also had hamstring issues at the end of last term but was ready by the end of the campaign and is now ready to kickstart his career.

Odubajo won’t be staying at Hull having confirmed he will leave the club and Celtic are now amongst the clubs who are interested in signing him.

It comes after midfielder Stuart Armstrong sealed his £7m switch to Southampton yesterday.

Saints boss Mark Hughes fought off strong competition to secure the 26-year-old on a four-year deal.

And he has no doubt Armstrong will cut it in the Premier League because he reckons he’ll bring Celtic’s winning mentality to St Mary’s.

Hughes said: “Stuart brings with him extensive experience of European football and has developed his game impressively over the past few seasons at a major club in Celtic.

“There is a demand not only to perform but also to win. Stuart has done both during his time there.

“He is intelligent and a strong team player. I believe he will be a real asset to the squad in the years ahead.”

Armstrong added: “Southampton seems a good fit for me. I really enjoy the attractive football that they play. I’m excited to get started.”

Hoops captain Scott Brown admits Armstrong is a huge loss for the club and is sad to see him go.

He said: “He’s a fantastic player. He’ll be a big miss.

“He will be relishing the chance to show what he can do in England.”
