KEV’S A SCREAM

Fans rolling in aisles over scary character’s likeness to comedian

- by BEVERLEY LYONS

A KEVIN Bridges lookie-likie is making cinemagoers laugh out loud when they go to see scary movie Hereditary. The spooky little girl in the horror film looks like a younger version of the stand-up comedian from Clydebank – and Twitter users can’t get over it. The character Charlie, played by Milly Shapiro, is meant to terrify audiences as she crafts dolls from stray items that she finds – including a bird’s head – and makes a strange clicking noise with her tongue. But far from terrifying Scots audiences, Charlie has left them rolling in the aisles with laughter at her likeness to Bridges. Bethany Black was one of the first to spot it. She tweeted: “Saw an advert for that movie Hereditary. Looks terrifying. Imagine being haunted by Kevin Bridges? Doesn’t bear thinking about.”

Another Twitter user, Shannon, added: “Watched Hereditary last night and spent the whole film laughing at how much Charlie looks like a mini Kevin Bridges. It’s uncanny.”

Jade Milliken wrote: “See that Hereditary movie that’s getting called the scariest movie ever? I’m sorry, but watch the trailer and tell me that the wee lassie isn’t Kevin Bridges wae a wig on and I’ll tell you you’re a liar.”

Iain Riley joked: “Kevin Bridges’ new stand-up show, Hereditary, looks terrifying.”

One fan even suggested the 31-year-old might have a secret child.

Ally Finnan tweeted: “Here @kevinbridges86 have you seen that new horror Hereditary? The wee lassie in it is your ringer #secretwain.”

By last night, Bridges, whose favourite film is Ghostbusters, had not responded to the online frenzy.
