TRANSFER LATEST PETERHEAD manager Jim McInally welcomed the arrival of striker Derek Lyle to Balmoor last night.
The 37-year-old Queen of the South legend was wanted by Linfield as well as Dumbarton, East Fife and Stirling Albion but put pen to paper for the Blue Toon yesterday.
McInally said: “I wanted a goalscorer to play alongside Rory McAllister and I have that in Derek.
“It looked at one stage he was going to Linfield but when that move could not be completed Derek got in touch to say he wanted to come to Peterhead.”
