City splash £108m on Mahrez and Jorginho
MANCHESTER CITY are set to seal a £108million double swoop for top summer targets Riyad Mahrez and Jorginho.
City are in advanced talks with Leicester to land Mahrez for an initial £60m.
Sources claim the Algerian winger could have his medical this week.
Jorginho’s move from Napoli is also believed to be near completion with the two clubs finally ready to agree on £48.7m.
City had threatened to walk away after Napoli’s £61m valuation of the Italy midfielder but agreed a compromise after nearly two months of haggling.
● Dundee defender Cameron Kerr has been targeted by Hull.
Nigel Adkins has made defensive reinforcements a priority and his sights have fallen on right-back Kerr, 22, who played a key role in helping Dundee retain topflight status last season.
Meanwhile, Dens Park defender Kerr Waddell is heading to Morton on loan until January as midfielder James Vincent sealed a season-long switch to Dunfermline where he spent half of last term.
● Former St Mirren and Hearts striker Gavin Reilly has joined League One Bristol Rovers.
Reilly, who netted 22 goals to help the Buddies win promotion, left Paisley at the end of his deal.
He said: “I always had the ambition to play in England and felt this was the right time to make that move.”
● Midfielder Nat Wedderburn has signed a one-year deal with Raith Rovers following his release by Dunfermline.
● Defender Jason Talbot has dropped two divisions to pen a one-year deal at Cowdenbeath after being freed by Dunfermline at the end of last season.
