BORDERING ON GLORY

-

BORDER BREAKER (3.10) looks sweet for Sam England in the Mackie’s Handicap Chase at Perth.

A winner here for Simon Waugh, the gelding has thrived since joining his current connections and absolutely bolted up at Cartmel last time.

The nine-year-old has been hit with a stiff hike for that success but remains well treated on his old form and can follow up today.

Neil Mullholland can bag the opening maiden hurdle with BY GARRY OWEN MY BROTHER (2.10). The fiveyear-old showed some respectable form on the Flat in Ireland and should be primed for a winning timber debut by his skilled handler.

OUR MORRIS (2.40) can claim the ROA Novices’ Handicap Hurdle for Cumbrian handler Gavin Bewley.

The gelding scored cosily over course and distance in May and remains unexposed over three miles after his good second to Simply Lucky at Uttoxeter next time.

Bewley has hit form and can double up with MITCD (3.40) in the Heineken Handicap Hurdle.

The mare is thriving and will take all the beating again with any repeat of last month’s comfortable defeat of Methag at Market Rasen.

KILBREE KID (4.10) can soar for Rebecca Menzies in the Horizon Parking Handicap Chase.

The seven-year-old has done fairly well since joining the Durham handler and shaped like her turn was near when chasing home Shady Glen at Market Rasen recently.

In-form Rose Dobbin can add the conditional riders’ hurdle to her CV with POLITENESS (4.40).

The nine-year-old relished the return to 2m 4f when striking over course and distance last time and can shrug off a 6lb hike with a repeat of that effort.

Some decent bets on the Flat at Haydock headed by CHERUBIC (2.0) in the fillies’ contest.

Pat Evans’ three-year-old stayed in form with a fine third to Simply Breathless in a hot Newmarket handicap and can go two better down in class.

GOLDEN GUEST (4.0) can take the Tuffix Glass Handicap for thriving trainer Les Eyre. The four-year-old looked better than ever when striking at Doncaster and can follow up despite a 6lb penalty in his current mood.

Upwardly mobile EEH BAH GUM (4.30) can make it five in a row in the Bohle Handicap. Tim Easterby’s sprinter completed a four-time with plenty in hand at Redcar and can make light of another 9lb hike.
