TV pair star in promo for funk band’s new single
WEATHER girl Judith Ralston will send temperatures soaring in a new music video.
The 50-year-old has hundreds of online fans who love her “dominatrix” style.
The humidity will rise with Judith’s outfits in the promo including a leather skirt and knee-high boots as she pretends to be 60s TV icon Emma Peel from The Avengers.
The song Five Up High – by Edinburgh band James Brown is Annie – also stars Grant Stott, who plays bowler-hatted John Steed (originally played by Patrick k Macnee) to Judith’s Emma.
The video, shot in Leith and d around the capital, sends up old ld TV cop shows and also stars classic sic cars, such as a 1986 Ford Capri and nd a 1977 Stingray Corvette.
When Judith was asked to be Emma, played in the 60s by Diana iana Rigg, she wanted to wear a catsuit tsuit but couldn’t find one in time. She said: “I was very comfortable dressed as EmmaEm Peel. I loved it. “I can see Grant and I going on to bbecome the next Avengers. We could cou be called The Tremendors.” The T Glasgow-based weather girl, who wh also appeared in BBC TV series se Scot Squad last year, was delighted to be back on the east coast for the video shoot.
She added: “I loved being back in Leith as I have a big family connection there. My dad hails from there and both my dad and grandad sailed out of the port regularly when they were sailors.”
JBiA guitarist Barry Gordon, who wrote and sang the tune, said: “Judith reminded me of what Emma Peel might look like if she was a TV weather girl.
“I felt Judith and Grant would be able to recreate Steed and Peel’s flirtatious charisma. I was right. They have great chemistry.”
