PLAY HARRY OR YOU’LL COME A KOPPER

Reds’ warning over Celtic’s loan target

- BY MICHAEL GANNON & CRAIG SWAN

CELTIC’S hopes of landing Harry Wilson have taken a hit after Liverpool issued a stark warning over his game time. The Hoops face competition from up to 12 Championship

sides including Leeds, Norwich, Middlesbrough, and Stoke, with Rangers also bel ieved to be interested in the wideman.

But it’s understood the Anfield club are cool on sending the Welsh kid, 21, north and Celts are also wary over demands the former Hull loan star starts matches – with a hefty bill if the targets are not met.

Wilson is set to feature in tomorrow’s friendly against Chester with loans manager Julian Ward expected to hold talks with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp over his future next week.

Celtic won’t guarantee any player game time – as Brendan Rodgers proved with Charly Musonda last season.

The Hoops gaffer wants defensive cover as well and is set to fight it out with Swansea and Hull for Yeovil right-back Tom James.

Celtic – who have been linked with Wigan full-back Nathan Byrne – are also bracing themselves for a £25m bid from Everton for Kieran Tierney.

But Scott Sinclair is adamant he’s going nowhere as he targets another glittering season.

He said: “I love the club and playing in front of 60,000. I’ve got no reason to leave. We’re settled here.”
