Many of the most desirable brands of the moment pride themselves in offering lots of options for vegans. Kat Von D’s range is a good place to start. Not all the products are suitable for vegans but the ones that are get a special mention on the website. They include shimmery strobing powders, inky eyeliners and her signature heavyweigh­t foundation. Tarte have a great range of vegan products, including brushes, heavily pigmented eye colours and their famous Shape Tape concealer. With the firm’s ethical credential­s, The Body Shop is an obvious place to go. They have everything from foundation­s and hair masks to body scrubs and perfumes in their huge vegan section.

Lots of the store’s products, including Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream and Tea Tree Skin Clearing Wash, are completely animal free.

But buying vegan products doesn’t require a trip to a specialist store. Supermarke­ts also have great products.

Asda stock the Nspa range, which includes a facial oil cleanser and gorgeous coconut shower gel.

Tesco’s Organic Shop range of hair products has delighted vegan beauty bloggers. The patchouli and pomegranat­e shampoo and conditione­r get gold vegan stars for leaving dry, parched hair smooth and happy.

At Sainsbury’s, the Source of Nature range is full of useful products – including lip balm and hand cream, which often contain lanolin.

And Waitrose’s Pure range has lots of vegan options, from facial wipes and body butter to a great value facial oil.

Along with all the kale and avocados a vegan could ever need, they also stock lush Greek brand Korres, Pitrok natural deodorant and Australian brand A’Kin.
