PALS’ TRIBUTE AFTER ROBYN, 13, FOUND DEAD
Schoolgirl’s stunned friends plan memorial at park
HEARTBROKEN friends of a schoolgirl found dead at her home will hold a memorial for the 13-year-old tomorrow.
Robyn Goldie’s pals are planning to release balloons in memory of the Clyde Valley High School pupil, who was found dead at a house in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, last Thursday.
Police initially treated her death as “unexplained” but confirmed yesterday that a report had been sent to the procurator fiscal following the post-mortem.
Robyn’s stunned friends have been sharing their memories of the “caring” schoolgirl on social media,
A touching message on Facebook read: “The first day I met Robyn was her first day of school. She came in, looked at me and had a big cheesy smile on her face. The first thing she’d done was complimented me.
“We sat together and just talked for about an hour in a wee room until she had to go to class. She was very nervous. I wished her well and made sure she was OK.
“She was so caring and I’ll never forget her.”
Another friend posted plans for the memorial at a local park, writing: “We will be letting purple/pink balloons off for Robyn at Belhaven at 7pm on Friday. Anyone welcome.”
A Crown Office spokesman said: “The procurator fiscal has received a report in connection with the death of a 13-year-old girl in Wishaw on July 26.
“Police Scotland’s investigation into the death is ongoing and the nearest relatives will continue to be kept updated in relation to any significant developments.”
