Man, 62, held over woman’s death at flat
A 62-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after a woman was found dead in a city flat.
The body of Marie Walker, 61, was discovered after police officers were called to a property in Pennywell Road, Edinburgh, on Tuesday morning.
They also found a man with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police confirmed a murder inquiry is under way and said it was an “isolated incident”.
Marie’s heartbroken family said: “We are all shocked and saddened by the death of our mum. She was a wonderful caring woman who loved her family more than anything.”
