The former womanising singer is now happily married with wife Penny and admitted nights of passion are less frequent these days. The 57-year-old pop legend and the band have reunited to put out the song Let Somebody Love You.

And they are now releasing a new album – LIFE – on October 26 and going on a world tour to showcase their music.

The band, featuring guitarist Roy Hay, 57, bassist Mikey Craig, 58, and drummer Jon Moss, 60, had huge success in the 80s.

Culture Club formed in 1981, split in 1986 but have got back together briefly several times over the years. – seven-year-old son Aiden and Alastair 12. Speaking in Event magazine, Rod revealed there is one night from his womanising days that still haunts him.

He said: “Oh man, Australia, 1973, there’s this astonishin­g-looking specimen at the bar, an absolutely gorgeous woman.

“So we had dinner and we ended in the same room. Then there was the unveiling.

“She still had her knickers on but something was awry. ‘She’ was a bloke.

“I said, ‘No, mate, you’ve got the wrong one here. On your bike!’.”
