Julie's style secrets
Recover your natural glow with these simple beauty discoveries
I TOOK my eldest daughter on a little girl’s trip to London this week as a treat before her first day at school.
We visited the Tower of London, got invited to a magical unicorn party and went to see her favourite musical, Wicked.
She arrived back in Glasgow still buzzing. Me? I’m exhausted. Keeping up with a five-year-old full of sweeties is tiring stuff.
Since I got back, I’ve been trying products to brighten my dull skin and cover my huge dark circles. Here are some of my favourite beauty discoveries this week.
Charlotte Tilbury’s Overnight Bronze and Glow Mask is a brilliant gradual tan for the face. This gives a natural tint without blocking pores and leaving grubby patches. It’s £38 but you need just a couple of drops a night.
When it comes to shimmery primers and highlighters, I’m not a huge fan. On us ladies of a certain age, they emphasise wrinkles and fine lines. For a more natural glow, try The Illuminator, £26 @ Estée Lauder. You can use it all over before make-up or just to add a subtle highlight.
When it comes to under-eye concealers, I’m hooked on Laura Mercier’s Candleglow Concealer and Highlighter, £25.
