Unique clan seal found
BY reporters@dailyrecord.co.uk A CREEPY pensioner who stalked an 11-year-old girl has been jailed for almost two years.
Archibald Donaghy, 61, followed the child as she walked home and gave her £2 to “buy herself something”.
The next day, he waited on her walking to school and gave her a plastic tub containing a bottle of juice, more money and the note saying, “Have a good day at school beautiful.”
He then walked alongside her and asked to cuddle her.
Donaghy – a stranger to the girl – twice invited her into his car on her way home that day but, terrified, she ran home and told her mum.
He pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to stalking her on various occasions between March 14 and 15 in the city’s Calton and Dennistoun area.
Jailing Donaghy for 20 months, Sheriff Paul Crozier told him: “Your conduct on March 14 and 15 was terrifying.
“Your conduct towards her, as accepted by you in tendering your plea, has caused her great upset.
“Thankfully she had the good sense to run away.”
The sheriff added: “You DAVID and Victoria Beckham looked suitably relaxed as they chilled out with Sir Elton John aboard his luxury yacht in Cannes. The couple have been pals of the singer for 25 years and Becks referred to him as “Uncle Elton”. Elton, who is godfather to the Beckhams’ two eldest sons, shared pictures on Instagram and posted that he was “winding down” his summer holiday with the family. The find dates back to the 1600s when the Campbell and MacDonald clans were locked in a bitter feud over Scotland’s islands.
The seal was discovered under a hidden clay floor at the Dunyvaig Castle on Islay in Argyll.
