I Kenny wait to get going for goals at Dens Park
BY GORDON PARKS KENNY MILLER insists he’s ready to kickstart Dundee’s winless start to their Premiership season after signing a two-year deal with the Dark Blues.
The 38-year-old opted against a move to St Mirren in favour of linking up with Dens Park boss and former Rangers team-mate Neil McCann just days after being dismissed as playermanager at Livingston.
Miller’s arrival is a boost for the Taysiders ahead of a weekend clash with Motherwell and he’s adamant he can add firepower to a side that has gone three games without a goal.
He said: “It’s a real chance to kickstart the season here. I’ve watched a lot of the games and they’ve been very unfortunate in the first three games of the season.
“Hopefully I can bring a bit of experience and help the boys.
“Some of the football has been fantastic, it’s just maybe a bit of luck which hasn’t been on our side and hopefully that will change at the weekend.”
Miller is also thrilled to get a two-year contract at such an advanced stage in his career and he’s convinced working with a manager he knows well will ensure he’s a perfect fit at his new club.
He said: “It’s pretty rare when you get to my age as it’s usually a one-year deal.
“I have a long-standing relationship with the manager so it will suit me.”
