FOREST ON FIRE TO SEAL SHOCK

NOTTINGHAM FOREST pulled off another shock as they beat Newcastle 3-1 to send them crashing out the Carabao Cup for the second straight year.

The Championsh­ip side broke the deadlock in 46 minutes when Daryl Murphy nodded home.

The Magpies snatched a leveller in the second of six minutes of injury time when Salomon Rondon thumped in.

But there was still time for Matty Cash to score a second for Forest before Gil Dias’s chip sealed it.

Everton had two-goal Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Gylfi Sigurdsson to thank as they saw off Rotherham 3-1.

Iceland internatio­nal ROUND-UP Sigurdsson scored from close range in 28 minutes, with Calvert-Lewin heading in his first since February after the break.

Millers substitute Will Vaulks nodded in on the 86th-minute to give his side hope but CalvertLew­in’s second moments later snuffed that out.
