Four killed by ‘brute’
A MOTHER and child were among four people killed as Hurricane Florence battered the east coast of America.
They died after a tree fell on their house in Wilmington, North Carolina, as high winds swept across the state.
A woman in Pender County who had a medical condition also died. Ambulance workers could not reach her in time as fallen trees blocked their route.
Another person was killed while plugging in a generator in Lenoir County.
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper said: “It’s an uninvited brute who doesn’t want to leave.”
