Murderer thought his ex cheated

A MAN who police said shot and killed five people, including his ex-wife, before turning his gun on himself believed his wife had cheated on him, court documents reveal.

Javier Casarez, 54, fatally shot his former wife Petra and a man at a trucking company. He then chased after another man and killed him before driving to a home where he shot dead a father and daughter.

The near 40-minute rampage took place in Bakersfield, about 90 miles north of Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Casarez wrote in his divorce petition: “We are getting divorced because my wife cheated on me.”
