QUOTE OF THE DAY

-

‘Come the end of season it will be back to normal – Celtic champions and Rangers fighting Hearts for fourth’

remind all the merchants of doom, and deluded Rangers fans, form is temporary, class is permanent.”

Bud Hay, Dumfries, said: “Rangers have failed 12 times in a row to beat Celtic and it won’t be unlucky 13 for the Hoops. The treble treble is still on.”

Steve Campbell, Tollcross, doesn’t agree and said: “This dismissive attitude from Celtic will come back to haunt them. Rodgers is right, their form is alarming and they should respect the Rangers challenge.”

Drew Ferguson, Oban, said: “It’s great to see Rangers’ vast improvement from previous years but we have won nothing yet.”

Hibs fans were not too chuffed at Neil Lennon’s claim Celtic will win the league. Allan Docherty,

Glasgow, said: “Lennon seems more interested in Celtic than the team paying his wages.”

Kevin McGinlay, Edinburgh, said: “Lennon is just being a realist. Even if Celtic are still in this position they have the finances to push again in January.”

Neil Brand, Rosyth, said: “Hibs players must wonder why they bother turning up every day when their own gaffer doesn’t think they can win the title.

“Surely the target for any side at the start of the season is the title? You only need to look at Leicester to see it can be done.”

Finally, the Scottish obsession with attendances continues. James Forrest emailed: “What an embarrassment to Scottish football to have a quarterfinal between the so-called challengers for the league but an attendance a junior club would be proud of. Shame on both of you.

“These two clubs were behind the conspiracy to send Rangers to the bottom of the Scottish league, now read it and weep. Scottish football need Rangers but we certainly don’t need these clubs in Scottish football.”
