WE’LL LEARN FROMLIVISLIP

-

STEVEN GERRARD has told his Rangers players to own their mistakes after the 1-0 defeat by Livingston.

That’s now four away games without a victory in the Premiership and the Ibrox boss wants his players to find a response after a “sore one” at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

Dolly Menga’s goal was the difference between the sides to leave Rangers in sixth place eight points behind leaders Hearts.

Now Gerrard wants his players to dust themselves down ahead of tomorrow’s crucial Europa League clash with Rapid Vienna.

He said: “When you are flying and things are good and individuals, and as a team, get a lot of credit and praise, sometimes a lot of small things get hidden among that. But after a BY ALAN MARSHALL defeat away from home, a sore one, you analyse it a bit more and analyse individuals that bit more.

“And some things smack you in the face as that little bit more obvious.”

The Gers boss hopes his side can become stronger after the setback and he told Rangers TV: “There’s a saying you learn more through defeat and I can definitely understand that.

“It will improve me, I made a few mistakes within that game as well.

“The first thing I do is analyse myself and my staff. And you hope your players go and do that themselves individually.

“But it is my job to show the players where we can improve as a group and maybe speak to individuals as well. That’s in motion.”
