Dembele to turn Celts spy

-

BY ED CASEY RB SALZBURG star Jerome Onguene has revealed he will turn to ex-Hoops hero Moussa Dembele for inside information on Celtic.

The former Stuttgart and Sochaux defender is good mates with the striker after coming through the French youth ranks together.

Onguene will now quiz Dembele – who recently made an acrimonious move to Lyon for £20million – on the Scottish champs ahead of their Europa League clash in Austria tomorrow night.

He said: “We played for the French national team at all age levels and I am close to him.

“I will get in contact with him and see what he has to say about Celtic’s players, perhaps he could be a big help. But I believe if we play to our capabilities we have a really good chance of beating Celtic.”

Regardless of what insight Dembele gives, Onguene is expecting a difficult game from Brendan Rodgers’s side.

He said: “We expect a very tough test from Celtic. They are a good team who are usually in the Champions League.

“It will be difficult but we don’t fear anyone. We have won every game in the league and expect to win.”

Defender Stefan Lainer has warned Celtic they are entering a fortress at the Red Bull Arena where Salzburg intend to keep their unbeaten record.

He said: “We’re on a good run. We’re ready for the Europa League. Celtic have some good, experienced players but what matters is how strong the unit is.” CELTIC will release another DVD later this month charting their historic double Treble.

It will give Hoops fans another chance to enjoy the highlights from two memorable campaigns.

For Kieran Tierney, Access All Areas – The Making Of The Double Treble will feel a little bit like Groundhog Day.

The Celtic defender has to relive every game when he goes home because his family – especially dad Michael – are such mad Hoops supporters.

Tierney, 21, said: “That’s the thing being a Celtic fan, you go home to more Celtic fans talking about the game. You cannot get away from it!

“To an extent it is what you want because I’ve always loved Celtic and always talked about them after games when I came home when I was younger.

“Now when I come home my dad is saying, ‘What about this?’, ‘You should’ve had a shot’, ‘you should’ve had a goal there.’

“It’s brilliant but sometimes a.haggerty@dailyrecord.co.uk you need to switch off from football and concentrate on other stuff and concentrate on training as well.”

Tierney can’t guarantee another blockbuster release come May celebrating another clean sweep but admits the Hoops have responded well to adversity already this season.

He said: “The expectations are to do that (win the Treble) at Celtic with the standards that have been set.

“We know how hard winning the double Treble was. That’s never been done before. So to be expecting trebles year after year is a lot. The demands at Celtic are high, so that’s what you need to deal with. It’s hard.

“We’ve been lucky the last few years the consistency has always been there. We’ve not had too many bumps on the road but now we have faced one or two it’s about responding.

“We’ve bounced back well the last couple of games. We’ve had few good results. It’s all about the team, the fans and the manager being in it together.

“Sometimes things just don’t go your way. If you don’t play as well as you can then you get a bad result or two. Then people start questioning you. You need to stick to what you’ve been doing the last two years – that’s proved really successful for us.

“We have won six trophies in the last two seasons. That’s an amazing achievement we’ve managed together, something that had never been done before.

“You go through good and hard times. We’ve had the good now it’s about sticking together as a team through the hard moments.

“When you’re at Celtic you understand all the hysteria. It’s also a really competitive league. The pressuire’s getting more and more but we just have to deal with it.

“It’s up to us to go out on the training pitch and give 100 per
