Exorcist jailed for string of child sex assaults

SCOTLAND’S leading poltergeist expert was last night behind bars after being convicted of a string of child sex attacks.

Jason Love preyed on three boys during a 12-year reign of abuse.

The 42-year-old targeted one victim while they were watching horror films together.

The crimes occurred between 1987 and 1999, during which time Love travelled the globe doing talks and lectures on the paranormal after becoming a practising demonologist and renowned “exorcist”.

The pervert now faces a lengthy jail term after being convicted of five charges including indecent assault and lewd and libidinous conduct. He was remanded in custody at the High Court in Glasgow pending sentencing.

The attacks took place in Paisley, Renfrew and in a flat in Glasgow’s Cranhill.

Jurors heard the first victim ended up being abused on an “almost weekly basis” for years. Another young boy was preyed upon at a cemetery.

The final victim fell ill after Love targeted him. The beast – who is also a qualified nurse – denied the boy feeling unwell was connected to any abuse.

He insisted the child had “indulged in too many chocolate and sweets”.

Love, of Battlefield, Glasgow, also denied attacks on the other boys.

He showed no emotion as he was led to the cells in cuffs. A woman who had been with him during the trial burst into tears following the verdict.

Lord Kinclaven deferred sentencing until next month for reports.
