You’re in my heart
ROD Stewart declared earlier this month he was a “Daily Record man”.
The singer has always had good taste. And he proved it again when he was pictured with his favourite paper tucked under his arm in LA. You wear it well, Rod.
SIR Rod Stewart loves to catch up with news and sport in Scotland so it was no surprise to see him with a copy of his favourite paper, the Daily Record, in LA.
Crocked Rod was spotted in Bel Air with wife Penny Lancaster helping him get about.
According to reports earlier this month, Rod injured himself on a lump of concrete while playing football with his sons.
The 73-year-old hobbled on stage at the Santa Barbara Bowl in California to perform his hits wearing a protective boot.
Rod often kicks footballs into the crowd during live shows but had to bring his kids on stage to help out.
The singer also announced he had donated his favourite metallic blue jacket to raise cash for disadvantaged young people in the UK. The lining has been signed “As worn by me Rod Stewart” and could fetch up to £1000 for the Prince’s Trust.
It is included in an auction at the Hard Rock Cafe next month.
Aberdeen-born singer Annie Lennox has donated a single sheet of handwritten lyrics in black pen of her Eurythmics hit Walking on Broken Glass.
