THE Pundits

- KENNY MILLER

I THINK it will feel like two points dropped. In the first half Rangers were excellent and dominated without having too many good goalscoring opportunities.

Second half Spartak came into it and for the first 15 or 20 minutes were right in the game before Rangers took over again with two or three good chances.

The game was there to be won. They could be happy with the performance overall but needed to be a little more clinical in the final third. But I think Rangers did enough to just about win the game.

SPARTAK made a couple of changes at half-time and got a hold of the ball better.

Rangers were pushed back a little bit more than they were in the first half. Steven Gerrard will be slightly disappointed. Rangers created enough in the game to win it. It will be a different game in Moscow and the onus will be on Spartak.

Eros Grezda had the best chance with the last touch of the match. I think he could have had a penalty as well. But it’s not the worst result in the world. They’ve got a point but have to play two of the last three away from home now.

THIS is the first time Rangers have failed to score at Ibrox this season but they just couldn’t find that wee bit of magic.

That’s interesting going into Sunday’s game where they won’t have their main striker available. But it’s another clean sheet to continue their superb record in Europe. It ebbed and flowed in the second half and was entertaining.

If anything Rangers just shaded it but it’s a decent result. The only thing is their run now becomes tougher. They have two tricky away games then Villarreal at home but they’ve already shown they can compete with them.
