Our Karen sole celeb with pass marks among fancy dress flops
HALLOWEEN is the time when witches, warlocks and all manner of scary creatures appear – but the memo obviously didn’t reach Celebrity Land.
Over the weekend, plenty of stars were out and about celebrating the annual spook-fest. But only Scots actress Karen Gillan seemed to go with the theme – and pull it off.
The former Doctor Who star went to a party as Chucky, the demonic doll from horror film Child’s Play.
Karen, 30, from Inverness, enjoyed the fun at a party in Philadelphia hosted by film director M Night Shyamalan.
Rumer Willis, 30, meanwhile, channelled her inner cowboy for her Halloween experience as she party-hopped with sister Scout, 27, in Hollywood.
The Empire actress, who is the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, turned up at Kate Hudson’s Halloween bash before leaving for Just Jared’s party, where the slew of stars included Kelly Osbourne, who came as American Horror Story’s Myrtle Snow.
Singer Leona Lewis was also at the Just Jared bash. She came in a Jasmine-style outfit and carried an Aladdin lamp.
George Clooney and his Casamigos tequila business partner Rande Gerber dressed as airline pilots for their Halloween do in Las Vegas, as did P Diddy.
Gerber’s wife, supermodel Cindy Crawford, went with the theme by turning up as a glamorous air hostess, although later she joined their children Presley and Kaia in rock ‘n’ roll gear.
Kendall Jenner, 22, came to the party as an Austin Powers “Fembot”, complete with a sexy pink negligee.
The Victoria’s Secret model, 22, completed her look with furry heels, a teeny purse, satin gloves and a voluminous blonde beehive wig.
She shared her look on Instagram, asking followers: “Do I make you randy?”
The Casamigos party was also attended by Kim Kardashian West and Sylvester Stallone.
Model Alex Chung, with a carrier bag, made a statement about the destruction of the oceans with her outfit “Mermaid with plastic” at a party in New York.
Not to be outdone by efforts in the US, Caroline Flack posted her Halloween effort on Instagram.
The Love Island presenter appeared to wear a retro sci-fi spacegirl costume. But not all of her fans got it. One said: “This is stunning! Who are you dressed up as?”
Former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan wore pale contact lenses and a macabre fortune-teller outfit to attend a friend’s party. She captioned the photo: “Happy Halloween.”
Her husband Mark Wright, who is filming The Bachelor in Cape Town, South Africa, was quick to pass judgment on the picture by commenting: “You’re so ugly.”
