Thug whines online about ‘unfair sentence’

-

BY ALAN McEWEN Murray reacted to the message, writing: “Short sentence fs 8 year fa ah punch. Shut yer mouth ya bam.”

In reply to another critic, she said: “Get yer facts rite dun 8 year ya roaster.”

Murray then posted fresh photos of herself and a pal posing with cans of Dragon Soop.

Murray was 19 when she killed tragic Paul in Glasgow in July 2010.

She attacked the young dad after he tried to retrieve his carry-out, which Murray’s pal had stolen.

He died in hospital the next day from bleeding on the brain after hitting his head on the pavement.

Murray was on probation at the time. She had been on a cocktail of Buckfast, cider and Valium.

Judge Lord Pentland sentenced Murray to six years and nine months after she admitted culpable homicide.

Appeal court judges later reduced Murray’s sentence to four-and-a-half years. She served two-and-a-half years before being given early release. But she broke the terms of her licence and was returned to prison early in 2014.

Speaking to the Record last night, Murray said: “I’ve done my time. I’ve been out since December. I’ve not been in trouble at all.

“Aye, I’ve had a drink but I’m not getting into trouble.”

Murray said she was sorry for taking Paul’s life and said “it could’ve happened to anyone”.
