I’m so Abbey to see collection in shop windows

-

ABBEY Clancy says it blew her mind to see her new line of clothes in a shop window.

Not just because the model is proud of her designs – but because going to the shops is a treat these days.

The mum of three says it’s too stressful to keep Sophia, seven, Liberty, three, and nine-month-old Johnny under control.

Abbey said: “I like browsing round shops, but I have to do it when I’ve got no kids with me because it’s like hell on earth shopping with kids.

“Liberty likes to run and hide in between the clothes, the others are moaning at me, ‘Can we go to the kids’ section’, Johnny’s trying to climb out of his pram, It’s kind of stressful. It’s something I like to do with my girlfriends or with my mum in a kid-free environment.”

With TV duties out of the way, she’s finally unveiling the 41-piece collection.

Abbey said: “It’s been a great day. Going to the store and seeing my collection actually in the window, it blew my mind.

“We’ve all worked so hard on it so it was a really proud moment seeing it all come together.”

After months working on her collection for LIpsy, Abbey admits she’s in no hurry to become the new Victoria Beckham.

She said: “I kind of feel fulfilled doing this.

“Collaborating with such BY KATIE WRIGHT a top brand is really important to me and I think it’d be too much pressure to do it on my own.

“Hats off to Victoria Beckham, she’s done an incredible job and she’s seen as one of the big players in the fashion industry but I think I’m just a bit too busy at the moment.”

The Britain’s Next Top Model presenter, who is married to Stoke City footballer Peter Crouch, said her red carpet fashion favourites are Giles Deacon and Julien Macdonald. But as a busy mum living in the countryside, she’s more likely to be dressing down than glamming up.

She said: “Doing the school run and going out for big walks in the countryside, which I love, and taking the kids to the park, I have to adapt my style – some of my Lipsy dresses would not be suitable for the park.”

Abbey is a fan of vintage fashion, though, and she’s already stocking up for her kids’ teenage years.

She said: “I’ve got loads of vintage that I’ve collected over the years and I’ve now started to keep all of my designer pieces or my one-off pieces for Sophia.

“I used to give all my clothes away to my friends or my sister. Now I look at Sophia and she’s grown so fast. She’s only seven, so I keep all my stuff for her, so she should be out of the Adidas phase by then and want to wear some of it.”
