Accused ‘recorded girls, 5 and 6, dancing naked’

A MAN recorded two young girls dancing naked on his bed during overnight stays at his home, a court was told yesterday.

Scott Hamilton is alleged to have forced the youngsters to cavort naked to the hit song I’m Sexy and I Know It by US dance act LMFAO.

One alleged victim told Edinburgh Sheriff Court Hamilton, 41, used a naked BY ALEXANDER LAWRIE image of her as a screensaver.

The younger of the girls – who were both about five and six years old when the alleged abuse started – said Hamilton would make them perform for him “mostly every time” they visited his home in Pathhead, Midlothian, between September 2009 and December 2012. The girl, who gave her evidence via video link, said they would stay overnight at Hamilton’s home he shared with his grandmother.

She said: “At the time, I didn’t think anything was wrong but now I think it was wrong.”

The girl, now 12, added she did not tell anyone of the dancing sessions until she began misbehaving at school a few years later and confided in her mother as to what had happened.

The second girl’s evidence came from a recorded police interview played to the court.

Now 13, she said: “He would say, ‘Don’t tell your mum or dad’. I didn’t as I was scared he might hurt me.”

Hamilton denies the four allegations against him and the summary trial will continue next month.
