NOW MAC IT HAPPEN

- BY GARRY OWEN

MAC N CHEESE (1.55) looks tasty in the competitive Loch Katrine Handicap Chase at Ayr.

Keith Dalgleish’s gelding didn’t set the heather on fire in two runs over fences last term but ended his campaign with a cosy timber success at Kelso.

The eight-year-old will have been well schooled since by his in-form handler and can finally open his account in this sphere.

Nicky Richards can enjoy his customary winner at the Craigie venue with PETERS COUSIN (12.45). Progressive in bumpers, the five-year-old should be even better over hurdles after chasing home the useful Sassy Diva here on her debut. It all points to Gavin Bewley’s

SUNNY DESTINATION (1.20) in the Tennent’s Handicap Hurdle.

The gelding has been quietly progressive over timber and sits on a workable mark after his good comeback second over course and distance. Dan Skelton had a number of entries for the novice chase so it’s notable that he relies on NO HASSLE HOFF (2:25).

The six-year-old was a pretty smart hurdler and caught the eye when a fine fourth in a red-hot event at Sandown on his fencing bow. Don’t forget to back LASTIN’

MEMORIES (3.0) in the trappy Wellpark Handicap Hurdle.

Sandy Forster’s gelding looked better than ever when fourth over course and distance recently and remains open to progress in this sphere.

David Arbuthnot is a dab hand with his chasers and he can strike with WINDSPIEL (1.10) at Warwick. The five-year-old relished stepping up to 2m 2f when runner-up to

Kupatana at Kempton and can improve again up in trip.

UNBLINKING (1.45) rates a confident selection in the colossusbets.com Handicap Hurdle. The gelding was a cracking second to Palmer’s Hill at Cheltenham and looks nicely treated dropped in class. Dan Skelton’s SOUNDS OF

ITALY (2.50) can regain the winning thread in the handicap chase. The nine-year-old ran better than the bare result when third over 3m 2f at Fontwell and remains on a workable mark over fences.

HIGH COMMAND (2.40) can take control for Gary Moore on a decent card at Taunton. The five-year-old has run with credit on both starts so far over timber.
